Welcome to Hummingbirds

We are a hardworking, kind and caring class of 30 year 3 & 4 children.
Our teachers are Mr Livesley (Monday-Wednesday) and Mrs Page (Thursday & Friday). Our LSA is Mrs Cotton.

PE Information🏃‍♀️

Our PE day in Hummingbird's Class is on Tuesday.

On this day, children are required to come to school wearing their PE kit, which they will wear all day.
As the weather will soon be turning colder, please ensure that the full winter PE kit is worn: black/brown jogging/tracksuit bottoms, yellow/gold T-shirt and brown/black jumper (no tight-fitting shorts or leggings please). Please ensure children are wearing suitable PE attire as we will be doing PE outside until it is too cold for us to do so. 

All jewellery must be removed for PE (no watches or earrings, as per our PE policy). On this day, please ensure that earrings are removed prior to coming into school. 

Homework Information🏡

Children will be set homework every Friday. They will have until the following Friday to complete it and return it to school.

Please encourage your child to read every day. Little and often is best. Children will be tested using our Salford Reading Assessment - the children will bring home colour-banded books. Reading records will be checked daily and books will be changed once it has been completed.

Times Tables-  In June, our year 4 children will be taking the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). Please support your child by practising their times tables regularly at home. Short, frequent practice sessions can help children build their confidence, fluency and recall of their multiplication facts.

Class Dojo is our main point of contact. We will update this platform regularly. If you ever have any non-urgent questions or queries, please send a message through this platform and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Any urgent messages should be reported through the school office.

Please ensure all long hair is tied up fully as per our uniform policy and any bows are small and in our school uniform colours.
