Kestrel Year 4
Welcome to Kestrels class (Year 4)
We are a hardworking, kind and caring class of 31 year 4 children. Our teacher is Miss Brown, and our LSA's are Mrs Hollands and Miss Beck.
During the autumn term, our topic will be ‘Through The Ages'.
Please encourage your child to read every day. Little and often is best. Children will be tested using our Salford Reading Assessment - the children will bring home colour-banded books. Reading records will be checked daily and books will be changed once it has been completed.
Uniform- please ensure children wear the correct unform- Summer from September until October half term then winter till the Easter break, when it reverts to summer again. Small studs and watches can be worn (but removed for PE) Long hair must be tied back and a small bow in yellow, black or brown is permitted. We do pride ourselves on looking super smart!
Please make sure that children have their own water bottles that they can bring to school daily. Please make sure that the bottle is named and is filled with water and not squash. Please label all clothes clearly with the children's names.
P.E day 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Our P.E day is Monday.
On this day, children are required to come to school wearing their P.E kit, which they will wear all day. No earrings or items of jewellery are allowed and long hair must be tied back as it is usually for school. Children will not be able to participate in the P.E. session if these guidelines are not followed.
Homework🏡
Friday is homework day!
Each Friday we will assign children their homework for the week, and they will have until the following Friday to complete it and then return it.
They will be assigned some Times Tables and Spellings each week.
If you have any problems completing any of the work, you can talk to us in school, or message us on Dojo.
Class Dojo is our main point of contact. We will update this platform regularly. If you ever have any non-urgent questions or queries, please send a message through this platform and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Any urgent messages should be reported through the school office.
Thank you for your support!
