Falcons Year 5

Welcome to Falcons class (5b)

We are a hardworking, kind and caring class of year 5 children.
Our teacher is Mrs Konikowska. Our LSA is Miss Gorman.

PE Information🏃‍♀️

Our PE day in Falcons class is on Monday.

On this day, children are required to come to school wearing their PE kit, which they will wear all day.
As the weather will soon be turning colder, please ensure that the full winter PE kit is worn: black/brown jogging/tracksuit bottoms, yellow/gold T-shirt and brown/black jumper (no tight-fitting shorts or leggings please, no branded kits). Please ensure children are wearing suitable PE attire as we will be doing PE outside until it is too cold for us to do so. 

All jewellery must be removed for PE (no watches or earrings, as per our PE policy). On this day, please ensure that earrings are removed prior to coming into school. 

Homework Information🏡

Children will be set homework every Friday. It is due the following Friday.

Children will be assigned some Maths, Grammar and Spellings each week, along with some topic project work termly.

There is an expectation that children read at home for 15 minutes per night. This will be checked daily (please ensure reading records are updated either independently or by an adult when reading with the children).

If you have any problems completing any of the work, you can talk to us in school, or message us on Dojo, but do not leave it until last day to tell us that you need support with it.

Please continue to encourage your child to practise times tables regularly. A secure understanding of times tables is a fundamental part of mathematics and will greatly support their learning and progress throughout the year.
