Good morning Eagles! What another beautiful day it looks to be. I am in my garden with a cup of tea as I type and thankful for the little things, like the sunshine...and a smile! It was so lovely to see your happy place pictures yesterday and your lovely smiles which I miss so much ☺! We will shortly stop posting on here so make sure you are logged on to ClassDojo if you haven't already.(there are three of you). You can then share your work with us to  to make us smile! The things that made me smile yesterday were: seeing pictures of you in your happy place; Bartosz's keepy uppy skill; seeing the work you send in on your portfolios; telling me the different ways you are working; that we very nearly have a full house of parents connected on here and of course, not forgetting the ever inventive Cooper Sisters and their daily musical extravaganza (backgrounds, props, costumes, instruments all thrown in)! I love seeing them as it's a way we can all connect. And smile πŸ˜„πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜. Have a smiley day today and I shall be posting tomorrow's work this evening as I am working at St. Thomas More's tomorrow for our key worker children there. I shall keep them working in the morning but please suggest ways in which they might like to be entertained in the afternoon involving the outdoors (my last activity of inventing a board game did not go down well! I might as well have suggested a 'bored' game ☺!
(If there are typing errors here, it is because the sun is shining in my eyes and I can't see the screen properly β˜€πŸ˜Žβ˜€, so apologies!)

Good morning Eagles! I hope you had a happy Tuesday. Well here is my 'happy place' which is at the beach hut in West Mersea. It's just a lovely quiet place to relax and read a book or picnic with friends and family. This was taken on a beautiful sunny day as you can see, but I have plenty of photos too on overcast, windy and rainy days which we have still enjoyed! There was a time we went on my daughter's birthday when we realised the moment we had arrived, that the weather had turned and the clouds above were black, but determined and with our lunch, swimming costumes and towels in hand, we opened up the hut and carried on! Madeleine and her friends still got in the sea to swim even though the wind had picked up, the kite we were flying kept getting hooked around other beach huts and I (rather unhelpfully) put up the wind breaker the wrong side of the hut to block out the wind! Shivering, we had our lunch  and when I suggested we head home for hot chocolate and birthday cake the girls all nodded eagerly! Myself and those six girls still look on that day with such fondness and sometimes retell that story each birthday!  Anyway, we only have two happy place photos submitted so far...well done Dean and Charlie! Please keep reminding other class members about ClassDojo as we shall shortly be posting only there and will pop another couple of photos on rather more cloudy days. Have a happy day and I look forward to seeing your work later. I'm heading over to Dojo now... smiley

Welcome back Eagles class! I hope you have had a good Easter holiday and been able to enjoy the sunshine and been able to do something that makes you happy! Taking this picture gave me the start of the idea for the first task of the week. This is at the top of a winding, twisting road called Wormingford Hill. A quiet country road that climbs for about a mile to where I took this picture and as I was climbing slowly up the road it made me think about  all the things that are going on at the moment in the world and how strange it is. But also to be thankful that I can still get out in the fresh air, enjoy the sunshine (it was somewhere behind the clouds) and ride my bike – my happy place!

So Task 1 – At some point this week, share a picture of somewhere or you doing something that makes you happy and why! Pop the picture in your portfolio with a little comment. Let’s start the summer term off with a smile and some positive vibes. Comments should be placed on ClassDojo
