Hello Housemartins

From today, we will be putting all work onto a different place called Class Dojo. The reason for this is so that we can see that you are joining in, look at the work you have been doing and let you know that we have seen it. You will also be able to contact me via email. I'm really looking forward to this as I have missed being able to see your super work!

Parents and carers will receive all of the information about how to access this and hopefully we will be able to make a smooth transition!

Spellings for this half term - Please practise one list per week

Below is a link for Oxford Owl. You can go into this and register free of charge. Once you have done this, look for the free e book library, click on the 6-7 age group (lower or higher if needed) and a whole range of lovely books will be available to you. Please make reading daily an absolute must each day, even if it's only for a short while - this is really important.

There is also a link for some free audio books by David Walliams. Listening to stories is a crucial part of learning to read, encourage your child to listen to these and some of the other free audio books that are currently available.

In school, we use the Talk 4 Writing method when teaching English. Over the coming weeks, we will be adding work that uses this method in an adapted learning at home version.

MUSIC:  Mrs Wallington has issued you all with an individual login to do some music online using a programme called YUMU.  You should now have made a note of your username and password.   Mrs Wallington will give you an activity each week.  It might be nice to do this on a Wednesday when Housemartins normally have music.smiley
