Team Kestrels

 

Welcome to our class page for this year. Team Kestrels are part of the Lower Key Stage 2 Team. This year we are lucky to have so many adults in our class:

Project

Our new projects for this term are ‘Rocks, Relics and Rumbles’ and ‘Forces and Magnets. During these topics we will explore the structure of the earth, types of rocks and physical geography. We have lots of exciting activities planned!

 

PE Days

This term our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesdays. Please remember to come to school dressed in your PE Kit. You must also wear trainers. If the weather is chilly please remember to wear either the school tracksuit or a dark coloured tracksuit. Please ensure all earrings are removed for PE.

 

Homework and Dojo

Our main communication with parents will be through Dojo. Please check this regularly for up to date messages about what is going on in the classroom and at school. 

 

 

Spellings - After the half term these will be sent home every Friday to be learnt over the weekend. We will have a spelling quiz every Friday morning. 

 

Times Tables Books - Each week the children will be set a focus times table. They must complete one column per night throughout the week including the division facts.


Reading - Please make sure you read as much as possible at home and write in the reading record each time you hear your child read too please.

 

Online Learning- Please remember to use Reading Eggs, Rock Star Times Tables, Hit The Button and Sumdogs at home too.

 

Please remember to bring a named water bottle with you to school every day. Please remember to bring your school reading book, times table book and spelling book in every day. Could we please ask that the children don't bring any toys or stationery to school and please ensure all belongings are labelled.
