ROBINS RECEPTION A
Welcome to Robin Class.
The topics this term will be 'Starry Night’ and 'Dangerous Dinosaurs'.
'Starry Night' teaches the children to explore the differences in the world at night compared to during the day.
'Dangerous Dinosaurs' teaches the children about the different animals that roam the Earth millions of years ago.
Our phonics scheme is called ‘My Letters and Sounds’. This term we are introducing the Phase 3 initial sounds and diagraphs. The children will bring home a reading book to practise their sounds at home. This book should be brought to school everyday in their school book bag. On Fridays they will bring home a workbook containing the sounds that we have learnt during the week. Please practise these at home little and often.
The teacher in Robins Class is Mrs. Adams-Watts and is supported by Mrs Fitt. The teachers in Wrens Class our Mrs Bryson and Mrs Baker and supported by Mrs Lees.
Our P.E. day is Monday so please wear P.E. kits to school on that day. No earrings or jewellery are allowed and long hair must be tied back.
Please make sure that children have their own drinks bottle for water that they can bring to school daily. Please make sure that the bottle is named. Please label all clothes clearly with the children's names.
We will post class messages on ClassDojo. You can also communicate any non-urgent messages through this platform. We use the online learning journal 'Tapestry'. Please look at this regularly to view photographs and posts about the activities your child has been doing at school.
Thank you.
