Welcome to Robin Class.

This term our topic will be 'Animal Safaris’. 

This topic teaches children about animals around the world and what animals need to stay alive. We will also look at their habitats. We will be having a visit from a zoo for a 'hands on' experience. 

Our phonics scheme is called ‘My Letters and Sounds’. This term we are recapping phase 3 sounds and learning some phase 4 words. The children will bring home a phonics book to practise their sounds at home. This book should be brought to school everyday in their school book bag. On Fridays they will bring home a workbook containing the sounds that we have learnt during the week. Please practise these at home little and often.  

Our teachers in Robin Class are Mrs. O'Brien and Mrs. Baker and we are supported by Mrs Lees. Mrs Cox helps us with our writing and phonics.

Our P.E. day is Monday so please wear P.E. kits to school on that day. No earrings or jewellery are allowed and long hair must be tied back. 

Please make sure that children have their own water bottle that they can bring to school daily. Please make sure that the bottle is named. Please label all clothes clearly with the children's names. 

We will post class messages on ClassDojo. You can also communicate any non-urgent messages through this platform. We use the online learning journal 'Tapestry'. Please look at this regularly to view photographs and posts about the activities your child has been doing at school.
