Self Care Information about children

Please note that if children have a sickness or diarrhoea bug, whereby they display symptoms more than once, they must not return to school until 48 hours after the last bout of sickness or diarrhoea. This is to protect other children and adults from being infected.
If your GP has prescribed medication for your child that needs to be administered at school, you will need to fill in the consent form below. Please note, only medication that has to be administered 4 times each day should be brought into school. Medicines that should be administered 3 times should be given before school, directly after school and later in the evening. Unfortunately, we are not able to administer over the counter medicines such as Calpol.

Important information

If your child is too ill to attend school, please ring the school on the first day of their illness and leave your name, child's name and the reason for their absence on the absence line (option 1).

Failure to do this may result in your child receiving an unauthorised absence mark. Penalty fines may be issued if absences are not reported and evidence is not provided when requested.
